In her free time, Annina volunteers at 12 Baskets in Asheville, explores the beautiful flora of Western North Carolina, and takes long walks with friends plotting on how to save the world. It was from these conversations that the idea for the podcast Dead Birds Don’t Sing was born. Encouraged by her plant and human community to take action she was called to bridge the gaps in conversation between the worlds of environment and society.
